I am originally from Germany and am now retired and living in Bellevue WA. I married my husband in Kauai, Hawaii on May 18th, 2007. We had an intimate beach wedding—just my husband and me. The ceremony was arranged by a wedding planner and included many lavender flowers and purple orchids. I had been searching for a gown online for about two weeks when I saw an advertisement for La Belle Reve at the Lincoln Cinema Theater and was drawn to the presentation on screen.
La Belle Reve is filled with lots of light. The store is well designed—The overview of dresses and accessories are not confusing or overbearing. The dressing rooms are also very nice and the dress shoes offered in case you didn’t bring your own are a very thoughtful touch.
After trying on only two gowns I chose a beautiful, very pale pink, almost lavender gown with small pearls adorning the bustier. I am not of the younger generation and knew I wanted something in lavender rather than a traditional white gown. Olga and all of her staff were extremely helpful without being overbearing. The staff treats you like family or friends without being too personal. They listened to what I liked and took it from there, offering just the necessary amount of feedback. We had just two days until we had to leave for Hawaii and La Belle Reve shortened the gown overnight. The dress was absolutely perfect.
